User: Dicyandiamide is a raw material used in pharmaceutical industry and pesticide industry. It is also used in dyeing as a fixative, in fertilizer as an activator, in timber as anti-inflammation agent, in steel surface treatment as an hardening agent, in vulcanization of rubber as a promoter, and in glass fiber as a lubricant. Dicyandiamide may be used as a raw material to produce melamine.
